Infinite Loop

The Infinite Loop dares you not to care. Launched on Kickstarter in 2015 by French creators Elsa Charretier and Pierrick Colinet, The Infinite Loop has been taking the comics world by storm. This science fiction action series holds a mirror up to humanity and asks—What if love is a weapon? What if identity is a lie?

Our story begins with Teddy, a time-travel cop of sorts, her ‘beat’ is to travel back in time to prevent anyone from disrupting history. Teddy and her hopelessly in love (with Teddy) sidekick Ulysses are part of a government organization fighting a time war with an anarchist outfit known as the Paradox Forgers who release anomalies (anything from chairs to dinosaurs) into time’s endless loop in an attempt to unhinge reality.

Teddy is a one-woman SWAT team, wiping out anomalies with a wink and a smile. It’s an action-packed job that takes her from the Roman Empire to Vichy France, and everywhere in between. But after more time jumps than she can remember, Teddy is suffering from some serious burnout  – you see watching humanity make the same mistakes over and over again is a real bummer.

Until one day, on an otherwise-average mission, she meets a mysterious, purple-haired woman named Ano, and falls head-over-heels in love.

Unfortunately, Ano isn’t all she seems. She was born from a time paradox—exactly the kind of anomaly that Teddy is tasked to hunt and destroy. When Teddy refuses to eliminate her, she unwittingly sets in motion a series of events that could unravel the very fabric of time itself!

The Infinite Loop is the sci-fi interpretation of Niemöller’s “First They Came” with the winking tone of Starship Troopers. It’s a time travel story starring a lesbian who will learn that when you turn your back on one group’s suffering, there will eventually be no one left to protect you from your own.
