COMEDY

Hey Mister

SYNOPSIS

Behold the triumphant return of what Details Magazine called “America’s funniest comic book”! This Eisner-nominated series series is not only “laugh-out-loud, tears-rolling-down-your-face funny” (Karon Flage, Sequential Tart), it’s the first project Chris Staros and Brett Warnock published together as Top Shelf Productions.

Created by Pete Sickman-Garner.

If Family Circus somehow had a child with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and that child ran away to join the circus, it would still think that Hey Mister was off the wall! Praised by Details magazine as “America’s funniest comic series,” Hey Mister is a raucous, ribald roast of the mundanities of modern life that is frequently surprising and always hilarious.

Meet Mister, an amateur filmmaker and professional loser just trying to find some love in this crazy life; his roommate Young Tim, who looks like a toddler but curses and drinks beer like someone long past their prime; and the host of freaks, weirdos, geeks, and villains they encounter as they go about the business of living in this shallow and frustrating modern world.

Watch and be amazed as Young Tim explores the finer points of lucid dreaming or as Mister and Tim discuss the classiest way to show up naked to a party or pee on a sofa in front of a crowd of people. Discover if ponies bite and what happens when a mean rabbit eats way too many strawberries. Learn why it’s not wise to use a barter system when driving a taxicab and how to seek the help of magical fairies to get revenge. In Hey Mister, anything can happen and there’s a laugh (and perhaps a pervert with a facial scar and a hard… truth hidden behind his trench coat) lurking around every corner.

Hey Mister is a lot of things – a story about friendship, revenge, petty grudges, bummer jobs, and the daily grind. Often surprising, occasionally disgusting, but always hilarious, life is more interesting with Mister and Tim in it… even if you’d never want people like them to have your home address!
